The Basics

Hello, everyone. Welcome to my simple sexual violence tracker. It should be pretty straightforward, but here’s some hopefully helpful information. This is a user-generated website. Every user can submit places where they have experienced sexual violence. I have to approve or deny the markers (to minimize spam and any form of trolling).

“About” has some good information on definitions and ground rules. I recommend checking it out, but the site is pretty simple, so you’ll likely be able to get around without it.

The “Map” blog post is where the actual map is. You can submit markers there to track sexual assault, sexual harassment, and rape. You are welcome to decide what level of information you want to share.

I’d say I’m open to comments and advice, but I’m still learning how to make that happen. I’m not a professional here. I’m just someone who’s doing my best to make a difference, in this case by providing a visualization of the numbers we’re so familiar with.
